Do you Backup your data?

A very, very important question. Do you? If not, read on. The horror stories abound of customers and close friends who have lost important personal or business data due to incomplete or non-existent backups.

I had a call recently from a very good friend of mine. His wife was having problems with her MacBook. It was slow. Not knowing what the trouble was, I suggested they bring it over so I could look at it. While we were talking, my friend said the laptop stopped responding. I had him restart.

Gone. In that short time, the hard drive had failed and it would not come back up. Long story...short, I pulled the drive and we sent it to DriveSavers, a very good and reliable recovery firm. In only 2 days they got back to me...Drive was NOT recoverable due to the damage on the platters, the surfaces that actually store the data.

Everything from July 6, 2007, the last full backup that was done, was lost. Including some very important, and time consuming to redo, business documents.

The lesson here is that no drive, CD, DVD or even backup device is good enough. You MUST have a plan, and faithfully execute it. No matter how you do it, burn cd's, use a backup program, or use a file server that is backed up, you should have a second copy.

We can provide you with the guidance to create, manage and use a backup plan to protect your very valuable data and most important, time. We can setup a 3 copy system that will allow you to restore data from very recent, like 10 minutes ago, to last week or month. All you need to do is be faithful to your plan and execute it every time.

Call or email us for more information and costs associated with our setup and management of backing up YOUR data today.
